We know that, at this point, any Rihanna news that isn’t music-related is a relative letdown, such is the desire among fans for a first project since 2016’s Anti. However, the news emerging that Rihanna is in talks with French Luxury powerhouse LVMH about the possibility of starting her own luxury label is almost as huge. Almost.

As reported by WWD, the “Umbrella” and “Work” singer is discussing starting a brand under her ‘Fenty’ name, joining the likes of Fenty Beauty and Savage x Fenty in the singer’s ever-growing empire.

If this news were to materialise, the label would be the first started from scratch by LVMH in over 30 years, with Christian Lacroix being the last in 1987. Will we see any of the pieces being warn by the singer in the buildup to Women’s Fashion Week in February? Will there be a collection ready by then? For now, as ever with Rihanna, we’ll have to wait and see.
