5 MINUTES WITH… GOLDEN BARBIE

The model influencer stars in Jeremy Scott’s CÎROC x Moschino campaign.

While influencers on Instagram are rife, there’s very few that can break out of the amorphous mass and make a longterm name for themselves. That is, unless you’re American model Jasmine Sanders.

She started out modelling at a young age, and has since walked for Moschino and Miu Miu, starred in a multitude of films, has over 3 million followers on Instagram, and counts the Kardashians as close friends. And being the Instagram expert, style is very much her strong suit.

So it’s only natural that the iconic Jeremy Scott would choose her as one of the global influencers to front the new CÎROC x Moschino campaign.

Starting with a limited-edition bottle design, the campaign also includes celebrations worldwide, from Ibizan beach parties to a Brazil NYE extravaganza with the model.

We chatted to the influencer below…

How did you come up with the name Golden Barbie?
My nickname growing up was Goldilocks because of my blonde hair, and my friends would tell me that I reminded them of a life-size Barbie. While trying to come up with a clever name for social media, Golden Barbie stuck. 
 
How would you describe your style?
I would say chic, with a bit of an edge. 
 
Who would you describe as your favourite style icons?
My style icons vary actually all the way from Naomi Campbell to the Spice Girls. 
 
Where do you get style inspiration from?
My mom is the most stylish person that I know and she is definitely my style idol.

What are your top beauty tips + products?
Lately I’ve been obsessed with face masks and using rose water spray. I’ve also been using a good lip scrub and exfoliating face wipes to help clear away debris from the day. Also, don’t forget about moisturising your neck and your lips!
 
What do you love about social media and its impact on the modelling world?
I love that we’re able to share our work so much faster and the immediacy of the connection with the fans is definitely a bonus of social media. 
 
What attracted you to this campaign?
CÎROC is all about having a good time, and when I found out it was a collaboration with Jeremy Scott, I had to be part of it!
 
What are you most excited about with this campaign?
I’m so excited to celebrate here in Milan, but I’m looking forward to the Brazil party to bring in the New Year with one of my favourite clients that definitely knows how to celebrate!
 
How does it feel being championed by Jeremy Scott as a global influencer?
Jeremy Scott has always believed in me and it means the world to have him in my corner always pushing and rooting for me.
