“Rhetoric” merges electronica and R&B weaved with traditional South Asian sonics co-produced by Shivani and close-collaborator Minas. The striking visuals directed by Erea Ferreiro pack nods to Shivani’s heritage in a track dedicated to her self inflicted limitations. Having already earned her musical tastemaker reputation DJ’ing across the UK, Shivani sets her sights on cementing her name as a singer, songwriter that makes music to help provoke thoughts and emotions for like-minded individuals.

Immersed in a diverse array of musical genres thanks to her father’s eclectic taste, Shivani’s palette was broad and unconventional for her age with exposure to genres such as Chicago House, Latin, Jazz, Euro Electronic, Reggae and Gregorian chant. Simultaneously discovering her moral compass at an early age, the creative process encouraged Shivani to re-visit early memories to inspire themes of identity, equality and integrity. ‘Rhetoric’ is the birth of Shivani’s newest evolution as an artist, illustrating her gift to flourish as a musician.
